It is tougher to break
free from mental chains especially when they are not known to exist.
Not every prisoner is
behind bars.
The restraining effect
of a brake is more evident on a vehicle about to move or one already in motion.
30 Then Caleb quieted the people
before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are
well able to overcome it.” 31 But the men who had gone up with him
said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than
we.” 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the
land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as
spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in
it are men of great stature…and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and
so we were in their sight.”
6 But Joshua the son of Nun and
Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, …spoke
to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed
through to spy out is an exceedingly good land.
Numbers 13:31-33; 14:6-7
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My
word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free.” … 36 Therefore if the Son makes
you free, you shall be free indeed.
John 8:31-36
Until it comes to pass,
a prophecy sometimes sounds like a lie to the one receiving it.
Physical evidences
sometimes contradict the spoken word.
An uncommon voice of
wisdom always stands out from many voices of common reasoning.
If everything He did
could be explained away, God wouldn’t be deserving of our worship.
1 Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord:
‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and
two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’” 2 So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God
and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing
be?” And he said,
“In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”

Kings 7:1-2
3 The voice of the Lord is over
the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters. 4
The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. 5
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of
Lebanon…7 The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire. 8
The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; The Lord shakes the Wilderness of
Kadesh. 9 The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth, and
strips the forests bare; and in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”
Psalm 29:3-9
