B.A.Y.O.R : FOUNDATIONS AND ROOTS

If a tree continuously produces undesirable fruits, it might be best to uproot the entire tree.
Trying to get rid of all the fruits every now and then doesn’t really cut it.

Weeds do not have to be sown like seeds to grow;
certain outcomes of our lives may just be weeds left to breed.

27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’…

Matthew 13:27-28

13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.

Matthew 15:13

The foundation of a building may be unseen but if faulty, the visible structure won’t be able to hide the defect for long.

Plastering a crack that keeps showing up may not be much of a solution.

3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?
Psalm 11:3

10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.”

Jeremiah 1:10

WHAT IFS

What if the ground is part of the reason for a tree’s inability to produce good fruit?

What if there are some good fruits but these are outnumbered by the bad ones?

What if the fault seen in the building is a result of just one wrong material or procedure in the foundation?

What if the fault is ignored and the entire building becomes inhabitable or destroyed?

SUGGESTED PRAYERS

Father, I bless everyone that yielded to your use as channels to properly lay a solid foundation for my life (parents, siblings, teachers, guardians, friends etc).

May their blessings abound. (Exodus 1:17-21)

Father, I forgive every one that knowingly or unknowingly served as a channel of negative input to my foundation. For those I know, may they find your mercy as I find freedom in forgiving them. (Ephesians 4:32)

Father, you are my Foundation Fixer, please help me to locate and address errors in my foundation that are a threat to the beauty and durability of my life’s structure. (1 Corinthians 3:11, Hebrews 11:10)

Father, whatever is a cause of fruitlessness in my life, please help me identify and uproot. I refuse to be a waste of space and grace. (Luke 13:6-9)

Father, please prune me of flaws (in character, ideologies etc) that limit or stunt growth and productivity. (John 15:1-4, Ezekiel 36:26)

Excerpt: Just because it’s still dark and others are sleeping doesn’t mean the day hasn’t already begun.
Even from the way they are spelt, the first, second and third positions stand out from the rest (fourth, fifth…tenth).
While others may merely be recognized, the first three are mostly rewarded.
Like the hands of clock at 3:00am, something about the connection of the vertical and the horizontal at 90 degrees makes it a “right angle”.
