YOU ARE NOT A MISTAKE | Martina Aderonke Fatogun | Sermon Notes

God is too resourceful to send you here without a purpose.

Nahum 2:13, Psalm 46:9
Silence every voice speaking contrary to the purpose of God for your life. The Blood of Jesus speaks instead; Loud and Clear!

7 POINTS TO NOTE

1. You Were Created For A Purpose: Psalm 139:13 - 14, Psalm 51

Why did a last born have to take care of sheep? It should have been the first born but David was sent to take care of sheep. Perhaps David was a product of adultery...

Anything you did not get from your parents, you don't need it for your purpose. (David didn't get love from home... perhaps he didn't need it for his purpose).

(Joseph's dreams would have haunted him like a nightmare if he remained daddy's boy)

Every challenge you're passing through is channeling you towards your purpose.

Ephesians 2:10

2. You Were Chosen Before The Foundation Of The World: Ephesians 1:5, Romans 8:29

You were foreknown and predestined.

3. You Were Created For Impact, Not Fame: Judges 4:4, Luke 2:36

Deborah and Anna were both Prophetesses but Anna commissioned Jesus.

It's not the number of gifts you have, it's about what God called you to do.

Anna was consistent in the one thing she was called to do.

Deborah might have been popular but Anna was impactful.

Success is doing the right thing and doing it well.

Success is fulfilling purpose.

4. God Perfected Your Purpose Before He Started You.

A product may be brand new when bought but it has been used; the manufacturer will test the product before packaging it to ensure that everything he said it can do, it will do. It was used, tested and perfected before being packaged.

(Unlike the products that we create as humans, God put in us the free will to decide to do exactly what we are called to do or not. A Tecno phone cannot decide to be Samsung phone after it is manufactured and perfected but human beings can decide to be something/someone else)

(That person you see in the mirror, is the perfect height, tribe, complexion etc for the purpose of God. If you're trying to be like someone designed for another purpose, that is like a tractor trying to be a sports car because it wants to be fast; that defeats the purpose it was made for)

If God permits any persecution in your life, it is because you have what it takes to go through it. (1st Corinthians 10:13)

Why will you say "why me? why me?" if not you, who? When the glory comes, will you not like to be a partaker? Stop wearing your problem on your face and carrying it along like a handbag. Throw that problem away and move on; the promise will meet you on the way!

Ephesians 1:13

God has stamped you; a seal guaranteeing the product.

5. God Is Committed To Your Success Because Of The Integrity Of His Name: Psalm 23:3

That you have a zeal to serve God or come into his presence, it is simply because of his name.

Companies recall some of their products when a fault or defect is detected. They do this for the sake of the reputation they have built over time.

God is committed to see you succeed simply because of his name.

Isaiah 48:9
"For His name sake" is a double edged sword. He may delay judgement for his name sake.

6. Cooperate With God's Purpose For Your Life.

Don't mess with God's purpose for your life.

All things work together for good to those who love God (not those he loves; He loves the world) and are called according to his purpose. If you give yourself another purpose, things may not work for you.

Don't allow God get you blind like Saul before you fulfil God's purpose.

Don't take grace for granted; you are not indispensable.

(Don't take grace for granted or you'll be grounded)

7. Start Now, Start Today; There Is No More Time.

Build your spiritual muscle now that you have the time.

Fortify your foundation before the building of your destiny begins to rise.

SUMMARY ATTEMPT | PERSONAL CONFIDENCE AND MOTIVATION | SEAN McPHEAT

Confident people get into action and respond to the problem before giving themselves time to dwell or worry too much.

The more that we are able to achieve, the more self-confident we become and the more self-confident we become, the more that we are able to achieve.

Personal confidence and motivation create improved job satisfaction and an improved work environment among other things.

Confidence is not arrogance. The arrogant person is usually actually an insecure person and their arrogance is a way of hiding their insecurity.  Where an arrogant person is boastful, a confident person has no need to boast; they know that their achievements speak for themselves. Where an arrogant person will have trouble admitting they were wrong, a confident person is perfectly willing to admit when they are wrong; they know that their admission doesn't diminish the value of their abilities. If an arrogant person tends to focus on looking good or appearing to be the best, a confident person focuses on being the best and doing the best.

Motivation is the description of a person's motive to action. Those highly motivated to achieve things in their lives are likely to be more fulfilled as they accomplish those things that are important to them in their lives.

Self-confidence: The belief that a person has in their ability to succeed at a task based on whether or not they have been able to perform the task in the past.

Two aspects of self-confidence:
Competence: whether or not you posses the needed skills to achieve something.
Self-assurance: whether or not you believe you have the ability to achieve it.
10 Tips To Improve Self-Confidence Instantly

1. Dress Up: when you feel that you look your best, you are more likely to carry yourself with more confidence.

2. Step Up The Pace: Walk about 25% faster than you normally would with your head up and your energy flowing. You will start to feel more important and more confident.

3. Watch Your Posture: practice good posture to feel more alert, more confident and more powerful.

4. Personal Advertisement: this is your personal pep talk; a one minute or less speech that you write about yourself highlighting all your strengths and abilities so that you can refer to it whenever you need a confidence boost.

5. Practice Gratitude: write down at least five things every day that you are grateful for and you'll be training yourself to stay focused on the positive in your life and about yourself.

6. Pay People Compliments: try to disengage from the negative influence of gossip and focus on the positive in people by paying them compliments.

7. Sit Up Front: sit in the front row to practice allaying fears of being noticed by other people and to start feeling more confident.

8. Speak Up: make it a game with yourself – decide to speak up at least one time in every group discussion that you’re in. We usually amplify the fear of speaking in front of others in our own mind – particularly because most other people are likely dealing with the same fear.

9. Exercise: this not only relieves stress but achieving your physical fitness goals is an excellent way to feel better about your abilities.

10. Focus on Contributing: when you shift your focus to what you give instead of what you get or how you are perceived, you will stop worrying so much about yourself. Focusing on what you contribute will help to boost your confidence.

SOARING GLORIOUSLY | AUGUST 2019

28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.
29 He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].
30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;
31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
Isaiah 40:28-31 AMPC

Until you spread your wings, the storm designed to lift you may pin you to the ground.

A plane deteriorates faster when left on the ground; If you don’t fly, you faint.

29 But he drew back his hand, and behold, his brother was born first. And she said, What a breaking forth you have made for yourself! Therefore his name was called Perez [breaking forth].

Genesis 38:29 AMPC

If transition (promotion, change, new beginning) was comfortable,
babies would probably arrive laughing.

1 And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembled together in one place,
2 When suddenly there came a sound from heaven like the rushing of a violent tempest blast, and it filled the whole house in which they were sitting.
3 And there appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were separated and distributed and which settled on each one of them.
4 And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words].
Acts 2:1-4 AMPC

Just like new life begins with a cry, a new beginning is often announced with a sound.

Declaration:
Father, in this new month, I receive the grace to wait upon you diligently so as to renew my strength, soar and breakthrough.

May this new month herald a new beginning evidenced by promotion, birthing and unveiled glory.

God Bless You!

It's easy to feel like you've been dealt a bad hand and that's why it's hard to succeed or achieve your dreams. It's time to change your perspective, because it's not the hand you're dealt, but how you play it that matters. In the video below, Terri inspires you to look at your circumstances differently and gives you the encouragement needed to go after your dreams, regardless of the hardships you are currently facing.

AN EVENING TO REMEMBER

He...started several businesses...with drug addicts and prostitutes...he would...ask them bluntly “how bad are you?”...In most cases, none of them had done as much drugs, porn, slept with or killed as many people as he had. On hearing his story, most of them said “ha? Me I be saint be that o (wow, I must be a saint then)”...One day, he was recounting how he had personally killed about nine people before it dawned on him that the number wasn’t accurate...“I think I must be a god because...people in my vicinity are either killed just before I arrive or just after I left”... Read more
