#JustALine | Week 18

When we feed on the truth about who we are, we're less likely to be fed with convincing facts stating who we are not
+ Bayor

Sometimes, the only positive things you’ll hear about yourself, are the things you tell yourself.

I recently read about eradicating ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts) that eat away one’s performance from the The Champion’s Mind by Jim Afremow. Please find the video book summary at the link: linktr.ee/Bayor

And yes, it’s week 18 of 2021 and of the #REDChallenge . That means we still have about 34 unique opportunities in this great year.

May the grace to maximize them be ours especially in the 5th month and beyond.

Grace repels disgrace.

Blessings always

Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.

He gave us what we have, to give Him what He asks;

When we give Him what we have, He gives us more than we could ever ask or think.

And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.” He said, “Bring them here to Me.”

Matthew 14:17‭-‬18 NKJV

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Today's Thought

Character left unchecked, checkmates.

4 A virtuous and worthy wife [earnest and strong in character] is a crowning joy to her husband, but she who makes him ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

Proverbs 12:4 AMPC

3 But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance.

4 And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope.

Romans 5:3-4 TPT

19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.

20 For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state.

21 For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.

22 But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.

Philippians 2:19-22 NKJV

Light of the world?

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Today's Thought

Though the world was being "reformatted", Noah found favor (Gen. 6:8) and was protected from the flood (2 Peter 2:5) because he obeyed (Gen. 6:22 & 7:5).

What if he didn't hear God?

What if he didn't "see" what God said?

“Listen, you who are deaf!

Look and see, you blind!

Isaiah 42:18 NLT

He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 11:15 ESV

Bring out the people who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf.

Isaiah 43:8 NLT

May our ears be open to receive all that God is saying in this season.

(Isaiah 50:4, Isaiah 30:21)

May our eyes be open to see all that He's saying and showing.

(2nd Kings 6:17, Luke 24:45)

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalms 91:1 NLT

Where do you (i.e. spirit) live?

Fishes live in the sea, they obviously didn't need to be in the ark with Noah. To them, the flood must have been a party with an expansion of their territory and loads of food (the sharks must have been particularly delighted).

Again, where do you live?

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

John 14:1‭-‬2 NLT

Today's Thought

Fathers are like firm foundations bearing much weight, giving support and bringing stable sustenance whilst often, going unnoticed because people rarely; if ever, paint a foundation.

On a day like this, we pray:

May our sacrifices speak positively for generations to come.

May the nations refer to our seeds with deep seated gratitude for our investment of time and energy in the raising of greatness.

May we be lavishly furnished with the wisdom to instruct the next generation aright.

May we be secured enough in our own identity to affirm and validate that of the next generation.

May we be well rooted and grounded; unshaken as we draw strength from the Father of all spirits.

May we be bold enough to embrace Truth no matter how unpopular.

May we Finish Strong.

Unseen Attributes | #JustALine | 17th week

As we take time to invest in the unseen attributes of the one we see in the mirror.

We are more likely to impart the many unseen lives, taking reference behind the mirror.

Today's Thought

Stay in the game; the prize already bears your name.

You won't believe the number of people holding on
just because you have determined NOT to throw in the towel.

13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Philippians 3:13-14 NLT

37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
Romans 8:37 NLT

10 For God is not unrighteous to forget or overlook your labor and the love which you have shown for His name's sake in ministering to the needs of the saints (His own consecrated people), as you still do.
11 But we do [strongly and earnestly] desire for each of you to show the same diligence and sincerity [all the way through] in realizing and enjoying the full assurance and development of [your] hope until the end,
12 In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises.

22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”

Today's Thought

You can not feed like a goat and expect to roar like a lion.

16 Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.

Jeremiah 15:16 NKJV

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ “

Matthew 4:4 NKJV

(Goats eat grass; don’t feed on/invest into the (things of the) flesh...)

22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 24 because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, 25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

1 Peter 1:22-25 NKJV

7 Don’t be misled; remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it: a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows! 8 If he sows to please his own wrong desires, he will be planting seeds of evil and he will surely reap a harvest of spiritual decay and death; but if he plants the good things of the Spirit, he will reap the everlasting life that the Holy Spirit gives him.

Galatians 6:7-8 TLB

Today's Thought

The heart of the righteous, beats with the rhythm of life.
It’s music to the Maker’s ears, a melody preserved to play on for years

1 In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song:
Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation.
2 Open the gates to all who are righteous; allow the faithful to enter.
3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Isaiah 26:1-3 (NLT)

1-13 You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, Say this: “God, you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I’m safe!”
That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards.
His huge outstretched arms protect you— under them you’re perfectly safe; his arms fend off all harm.
Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night, not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness, not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around, drop like flies right and left, no harm will even graze you.
You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance, watch the wicked turn into corpses.
Yes, because God’s your refuge, the High God your very own home, Evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door.
He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go.
If you stumble, they’ll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling.
You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes, and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

14-16 “If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,” says God, “I’ll get you out of any trouble.
I’ll give you the best of care if you’ll only get to know and trust me.
Call me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times; I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party.
I’ll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!”
Psalm 91 (MSG)

Today's Thought

God inhabits the praises of His people,

it’s obvious a grateful heart can not remain small.

3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Psalm 22:3 KJV

19 Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry;

I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

Jeremiah 30:19 NKJV

Thanksgiving is the application for more. Like a funnel, hands lifted in gratitude and thanksgiving to God; make room for more of Him to be expressed.

Gratitude makes great, the little.

11 And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.

John 6:11 NKJV

4 Enter with the password: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him.

Psalm 100:4 MSG

5 Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You.

6 Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.

7 God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

Psalm 67:5-7

Today's Thought

If you’re asking for a "testimony", don’t be a "prayer point"

For example:

A lady has anger issues and snaps once in a while when irritated. She has been in relationship after relationship. Every year, she believes God for a testimony of a good man...

I believe the testimonies have been coming...but she's still a prayer point.

or

A man has insecurity issues and will be checking his girlfriend's phone like he's the network provider. The lady puts up with it for a while before checking out for that reason among others.

I believe his testimony came...but he's still a prayer point.

A man can meet the right woman, at the right place and at the right time...yet, he's the wrong man.

A woman can meet the right man, at the right place and at the right time...yet, she's the wrong woman.

If you want answered prayers, be an answer to prayer; not a prayer they hope will be answered.

If you seek a testimony, be one.

3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?

4 How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?

5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Matthew 7:3-5 NLT

Today's Thought

Just because you do not have the question yet;

does not make the right answer any less accurate or available.

If you have not been asking questions; you may not recognize answers.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Matthew 7:7‭-‬8 NKJV

Today's Thought

HE upholds the entire universe with the WORD of His power;

All that concerns you can not be that weighty.

He reflects the brightness of God's glory and is the exact likeness of God's own being, sustaining the universe with his powerful word. After achieving forgiveness for the sins of all human beings, he sat down in heaven at the right side of God, the Supreme Power.

Hebrews 1:3 GNT
