Fathers are like firm foundations bearing much weight, giving support and bringing stable sustenance whilst often, going unnoticed because people rarely; if ever, paint a foundation.
On a day like this, we pray:
May our sacrifices speak positively for generations to come.
May the nations refer to our seeds with deep seated gratitude for our investment of time and energy in the raising of greatness.
May we be lavishly furnished with the wisdom to instruct the next generation aright.
May we be secured enough in our own identity to affirm and validate that of the next generation.
May we be well rooted and grounded; unshaken as we draw strength from the Father of all spirits.
May we be bold enough to embrace Truth no matter how unpopular.
